Nothing like a last minute announcement, with Daytona in a couple weeks.

 

Ive seen some guys just turn the idle up on the ZX6 to reduce engine braking.
I have the DBS autoblip on mine, I think it was around $1500, a pain to install, but works surprisingly well.

 

That's what I used to do on my 675R. 2200rpm idle + nice slipper clutch helped a ton.

 

Same here on my K4 Gix 750. But higher, like 3300rpm I believe.

 

That kit sketched me out when i had a ZX6R.. Auto-blip is important to me. I've had a lot of wrist injuries, and for some reason down shifting with a clutch always causes my left hand to go numb. Towards the end of my ZX6R days I was actually clutch less downshifting by blipping the throttle myself. Seem to work just fine and i felt like I could actually shift faster.

 

Graves. The Silvas were testing the links at Homestead last weekend, the graves guy was there with his computers downloading and helping them make changes after every session.

 

I dont know if it was mentioned in here or not. But Miki Hilton just posted a video of Cam Peterson on Warhorse V2. I know it was discussed about his Bagger ride, but I dont remember there being any discussion about him riding for Warhorse.

Either way... Sick.

So no Honda's at test. What should be made of that? No news and only old rumors. One sponsorless 5 times champ on an exotic BMW. Presumably with very little BMW support.
SDK was wearing an old suit on the the MA interview? I can not imagine a pro series or team using old leathers when media would be present?? Lots of likes and such little sponsorship views. You don't even see Mission for example. It is so club racing! It is stuff like that turns away sponsorship. My friend was the sponsorship head for Target Chip Gannassi in Indy car back in the day. They would be slaughtered for showing up anywhere without the logos front and center to be captured. With so little media time devoted to the series you would think they would be so tuned into that?

I see no decals on any of the Superbikes outside of small associate sponsors ( Progressive) Again, name a sport. Womens Curling. Jetski racing. Snooker!? There will be more sponsorship.

Again, I want this series to thrive, but I am starting to regret my $175 subscription. We are currently 8-9 bikes as of Feb 23rd. I truly hope we see some big suprise media announcements at Daytona when people are watching. I would be happy to eat crow.

You forgot to deselect the 'Happy Ending' option.

 

SDK said that he and M4 decided to do the test the day before it started. They were working out of a van an tent. Makes sense for him to be wearing old leather on such short notice.

It's also not that strange for teams to be running pretty plain liveries/fairings in testing. My guess is because it's an added and unnecessary cost, especially when it's not even being broadcasted.
It happens in WSBK and MotoGP.

 

I think what you want is based on pipe dreams and unicorn farts. Your perception of motorcycling in the US does not represent reality. I am starting to regret reading any of your posts.

It's a preseason test 2000 miles and 2 weeks from the first event of the season with no media coverage outside of the Motoamerica Instagram interns. Most teams don't have stickers on bikes until Thursday night after load in. Take a chill pill.
