Ducman851 Been told I’m that guy, but I’m really not

And Honda is all in again in racing this season IMG_0232.jpeg

I'd like to announce I will pay $250,000.00 to the winner of any 2025 MA SBK race while riding an eligible Yamaha model.*

only if you ride a 1978 TZ750, bone stock.

Wanted to equal/better Honda's SBK contingency for MA SBK.

Honda has had pretty good contingency lately so no surprises there. Lmfao they prob weren’t banking on HG doing so well in it.

that’s their problem and I hope he makes 100k on contingencies alone.

A big difference is Steve Polk. I had the privilege of working side by side with him an as an engines guy there’s ain’t much better.

hes basically the guy that made the Harley Xg 750 from a 40hp street beginner bike to a full on double over head cam, 4 valve heads. Making over 100hp to the rear.

yea I know in STK you can’t do all that but just saying, I feel like a pretty damn bright engine guy and I felt like I was in elementary school and he was at Harvard.

You nailed it, the class rules hamstring builders to keep costs inline. Not a complaint, it’s just the basis for those who wanna ride a literbike but not find $1.3 mill a season to do it.
IMO you could have Pops Yoshimura, Jeremy Burgess, Guy Coulon, and Terry Vance all working on it and without the ability to go full SB - you’re still ending up short on performance but also, the real drawback is the extremely basic electronics package it has which means premature tire wear and a VERY lively machine to handle vs just twisting the go stick and letting the computer save your ass.

No one has brought one yet but the CBR600RR was re homologated by Honda through 2032. It's allowed a the full Moto2 engine essentially (Spec HRC head and Cams). I've seen legit dyno print outs of them making 140hp at the wheel.

Thing is you'd need to import a Euro or Japanese model as the NA model didn't get the update, yet.

I believe the GSX-R is allowed the Yoshimura ECU

It's not part of Honda's MotoAmerica contingency program so I doubt anyone would go through the trouble.

Makes sense since the North Ame I can model didn't get the "race" upgrades that the Euro and Jap one did. Still a damn good, well understood chassis that has its only flaw (lack of power) solved by the HRC spec kit.

Seems like a good privateer option.

Honda is seemingly putting more effort into their WSSP program this season. If that goes well I suspect it'll make it's ways stateside

Thinking there is a chance we could see HG on the Euro model in the 200 and at the Loudon Classic.

No HG in the 200. No word on the classic yet.

Baz announced he's out at WSBK but has different plans to announce soon.

I've heard he was testing a bagger in Florida, an Indian specifically.

    Good for Aiden and MP13.

What ever happened with Tamburini? He disappeared after some promising results.
