"Stupid is as stupid does" "Go away or I shall taunt you a second time"/"It's just a scratch" "Blue is for assholes, pink is for sluts"
Both. Heck over the years he did airshows in damn near everything. When I was paying attention he used the P51 as the pace plane for Reno and did air shows in the Shrike. The P51 was kept at my little local airport Torrance Id see it all the time when I was an airport kid growing up.
Speaking of P-51s, is it true that the Mustang shown at both the beginning and the end of Top Gun: Maverick is actually owned and flown by Ton Cruise himself?
yes it is true https://screenrant.com/top-gun-maverick-plane-p51-mustang-tom-cruise/ The P-51 Mustang plane that Maverick and Rooster work on in that final scene of Top Gun: Maverick is owned by Tom Cruise in real life. His passion for aviation was sparked while filming the original 1986 Top Gun movie and in 1994, Cruise became a licensed pilot.
It must be nice to have FU money. I once knew a guy that had made a few $$ racing motocross back in the 80's. His name was Bob and he went on to racing airplanes for a bit. I even had a chance to visit his personal hanger in Ketchum, ID once but that was while he was still racing motocross and had not yet ventured into racing airplanes.
