So the lawsuit was all abut nothing huh? They are making so much money they decided to sue NASCAR for shits and giggles.
Yeah, let me hold your hand for you while I spoon feed you the info. I guess we're gonna sit there and claim the lawsuit wasn't about money, huh? Fucking beeb logic strikes again.
The argument was that nascar could afford to pay another $300+ million a year and stay solvent… it was pure greed imo on all sides… MJ wasn’t going to be pushed around and racing isn’t his only business like most teams are… $1B tv deal and the teams wanted more
The lawsuit didn't really have anything to do with the teams losing money, it has to do with things like the value of the charters and them not being permanent. Which they now are ..
I was asking Noles. He stated that none of the race teams lose any money. He must have some sort of inside info on that to support that statement.
Losing money is one thing, showing that you didn't make a profit is another.. Look at the 23XL financial records as an example
I hadn't, which is why I asked. Not following this closely, so I'm definitely not qualified to even form an opinion on this particular case. Just from a cursory look though, if the teams ARE the show, then I think they're entitled to a deal that ensures that they have financial stability to warrant their investment in the series. I think someone tried to compare WERA to NASCAR as if they were in the same vein. WERA was created because the Franks loved roadracing and saw a need for an organization to promote events. I'm not sure NASCAR was created under the same pretenses (it's possible), but it stopped being a grassroots organization a long time ago. Just like in any professional sports league, they wouldn't exist without the investment of the rich people who are willing to fund the teams. Looking at something like the NFL, I think it would be ridiculous for the team owners not to expect guaranteed franchises with a piece of the profits that comes from the show. Whether the team owners in NASCAR are making a profit should be of primary concern to the organizers, as the series eventually dies if most of them aren't. The rich people I know who fund things like this initially start it as a passion project, but they still run it like a business. That's why they're rich. BTW, I'm not saying WERA doesn't provide a show, and it certainly wouldn't exist without it's members. That said, Ev and Buzz could have invested the money they paid for WERA into a conservative portfolio, and Ev would be retired and on easy street. Sean could have literally done almost ANYTHING, and been far more financially successful. They've kept it going for the love of the sport, and for the benefit of the riders. Totally different mindset than NASCAR. Apologies if any of this came off sounding condescending. Just stating my limited opinion based on my limited knowledge.
With comments like this and the one where you where going to tattoo your pecker, I’m questioning my sanity following you down the DTREF, poop covered, yellow brick road.
Following this since the beginning there was only ever going to be one of two outcomes. NASCAR settles or loses in court. I've been joking that evidently the France clan was asleep while MJ completely and permanently changed the business model of the NBA, its team agreements, management, sponsorship and media deals. He did that. NASCAR is small potatoes in comparison.
With his pants off sitting in a chair with his legs spread and you on your knees between them with your head bobbing up and down?
