Well, that was fun. I kicked off last weekend by throwing myself on the ground from my road bicycle, wrenching the hell out of my back so I wasn't sure I could even ride today but it turned out fine. I'm semi-competent on my 848 at NJMP Thunderbolt. I ran some 33.4s last time I was there, on a bike probably capable of 27s. Really fast guys on R6s can get in the 26s. Had no idea what to expect on the Rs250. I thought anything in the 50s would be OK for my first session. My first hot lap was a 46 and I got in the 42s in the first session. 2nd session, I figured a few things out and had a few 38.2s. That was as fast as I went as it got hotter. Ran 4 sessions and called it. I was hot as hell and thinking I should probably go over it thoroughly. The only problem all day was a clip on moved a little. The bike is laughing at me. It has so much more to give. This thing is cool as hell.
These RS250s are probably my fav track bike ever. So much fun and yeah, they do move right along once you figure them out!
