Memories of Volunteer MC in Knoxville??

I own a bike (Ducati 750 GT) that came out of that shop in 1973. Ronnie Ruth was the first owner and raced it. I'm looking for any stories about the Hayes family and their support of motorcycling back then.

 

Might try Jims cycles in Johnson city. I talked to a son of the original owners for hours years ago, when I went there for a job Interview. He showed me a lot of historical stuff from when they raced guzzi and ducs. They were one of the first shops to import them in to the US. Fascinating history.
Best I remember the family owned several shops in the east TN area around that time period.
