Accurate as all F and most people love them. I don't like 'em because they are 206 pounds and 13 feet long. Same reason I don't like a FAL (even if they are only 96 pounds). I do like the 30-06 over that stupid .303 round though.

Man you've had some questionable takes on here before but this just might take the cake. Holy hell. Running the K98 bolt is one of the most organic shooting experiences I've ever had. I have $10K rifle builds that don't put the same smile on my face as my beat to hell surplus K98.

And the FAL? Fuck outa here! How can the right arm of the free world not rank at the top of your list? Besides three oh hate being the greatest caliber ever invented, the platform is just gold. As much as I love my ARs, it still saddens me that the FAL wasn't adopted instead.

 

You are correct about the 7.62X51mm as one of the all time greats. Really, all you NEED is that and .45 and you won. Maybe add in .22 long for shooting hippies but whatever.

5.56. 7.62xcommie and 9mm are nifty neato but with the two above are superfluous.
