I want to grow pot

Dead serious here. I watched a show about a son and mother who started growing marijuana to supply the local dispensaries. It might have been Utah but I don't recall the state. Then I saw another show on Mendocino, Ca and the booming pot biz there supplying the dispensaries.

So I'm thinking a couple green houses and equipment. I don't smoke the stuff I just want to make some money. What's the deal here? Is this still a gray area where the local sheriff might get pissed one day and raid you? I'm only interested if it's 100% legal.

Where is 5150 or whatever the pothead guy's name was on here? Did he get banned?

 

No you're ok bro, just start growing where ever you can, if indoors a few metal halide bulbs and you're good to go. :up:

 

Check with your local county AND state laws. The problem is it isn't 100% legal anywhere in the US, as the federal laws supersede the county and state laws. I have a friend who lives in northern CA who grows for a living. The money is OK, but at any point the local PD, sheriff or even FBI can come kick down the door. He has done everything by the book also. Has a license, grows well under the max allotment per license and sells only to licensed distributors. You will need to get a license, which can be difficult in some areas, then set yourself up with the local dispensaries, which can also be difficult depending on where you live. Bottom line, is the risk worth the reward? If so, then do it.

When I was in high-school, I worked at a sooper lube. We used to dump the vacuum dust behind the dumpster. Unbeknowst to us, there were 4 ft. tall pot plants by the end of the summer. I go into work one day and there are 4 squads behind the shop, I walk up and they pat me down. I was caught holding, and charged. They thought that I was growing it, when it was just a coincidence that these plants just popped outta nowhere and I had some in my pocket. I had to do figure out how they were growing back there. Finally we figured out that we had been vacuuming up seeds from people's cars all summer long. The manager testified on my behalf that it wasn't me.

I learned that growing pot is a whole different ballgame, as far as laws are concerned. Dont fuck with it. Let someone else take the risk for you. Its really easy to hide a dime-bag as oppose to a green-house.

No matter where you go currently it is still illegal under federal law. Supposedly Obama stopped the raids on medical dispensaries/grow houses. All I can tell you is if you really want to do it is move to a state where medical is legal. Even then I would say your best chance of not getting in trouble would be in Cali.

Be prepared for serious unintended consequences. Plus, it's still pretty complex to unload the stuff.

It also has a high overhead to start up, and you will probably want to quit your day job.

I heard medical weed is more potent than regular weed. Any truth to this?

 

I would think half your worry would be the cops, but the other half would have to be the criminals who wouldn't hesitate to roll you or worse for your harvest.
