Paid my Atlas Athena a conjugal visit today at the shop. She arrived this week almost exactly a year after I ordered it. ‘

Maryland and Federal forms are done.

It feels light like my Ares, but has a grip similar to my Titan.

Also got to take a look at some 2011’s coming out from Miller Precision …a full length and a 4 inch/carry Ranger 9. Nice guns, well made and at a relativelyl competitive price point.
But, they’re not on my list…I have 2 more left to complete the “Magnificent Seven”.

It’s worth it. I kept it simple and went with one for each primary caliber: 22, 556, 30 cal…….just need a 9mm since we do a lot of 9mm carbine stuffs, so that the one I’d like at least 3 of……ok still need a couple more 556’s…….another 30 would be nice too……..shit maybe it is obsession :D

I have their full size and it’s beautiful. If I didn’t have such a long list of other shit I’d pick this up also

I started with a 22lr, then pretty quickly became 3 (added a 45 pistol can and a 30 cal rifle can). Figured that would keep me busy for a while. and it did. but then the short wait times started, and suddenly I'm up to 7 and would like to add 3-4 more. Because moving them around gets old or I go shooting with friends. or need a ti can because they are lighter. or another 22lr can so the daughter and I can both shoot quietly. or... it just keeps going on and on.

Same here, currently have 7 with 8 on order. Total stamp count is somewhere in the 20 range. That's a lot of tax when I say it that way.

Fingers crossed. Not quite done yet, have to get over the Senate hurdle. But further than it has ever been.
I've been waiting to purchase two more, hopefully this goes through.

Send your favorite 92 to them for the full NP3 job. It's such a a huge improvement.

Are they literally just coating everything in np3?

    Yeah, all their upgraded parts.
Then other tweaks like crown the barrel and whatever else.

So, are we allowed to talk about the fact that the "Hearing protection act" is part of the "big beautiful bill" and has passed the house?

From what little I read about it, this legislation removes suppressors from the NFA entirely. No more paperwork, no more extra tax, at least until individual states impose their own.

    LONG overdue.

Don’t worry, it’ll die in the senate, along with the short act. :(

other interesting thing I saw is there are 16 states that have laws effectively banning suppressors “except those in compliance with the NFA” or some such verbiage that defers to federal law first. Meaning removal from the NFA potentially renders them illegal altogether at the state level in those states.*

I don’t want to see my neighbors with a suppressor, FRT, and a d 60. I still have the night advantage but this year I’m committed to getting some real carbine training if yall have any suggestions.

Anyone done ridgeline defense or anything like that?

This is a good deal and the 92 is a great platform. I own a 92 XI Squalo and a PX4 Storm GS-D full size w/ the Langdon trigger job in a bag, grey guns flat trigger and Beretta match hammer.

The Squalo is single action only and teh PX4 is DA/SA. I will say that the 92 platform (in my very novice hands and limited experience) is a great shooting gun that's accurate and reliable. As a single action only gun it is really, really nice to shoot. The only let down w/ the 92 XI that I experience were the factory sights. Too small for my eyes and the front fiber optic fell out after about 1000 rounds. So I replaced the sights with spartan sights from Ameriglo. I'd suggest you budget for that with this 92 as well as this is a Beretta factory gun by Langdon and not a Langdon gun if that makes sense and Beretta down specs the sights on their factory guns.

In contrast, the PX4 with its DA/SA action is kind of a mixed bag. With the stock trigger, it was really not enjoyable to shoot in DA. I'd just cheat and shoot in SA mode. After adding the LTT trigger job in a bag, the DA pull and action is improved, but not great. It's where the factory should have been. The SA trigger pull was markedly improved after the LTT trigger job. If you're jumping into a DA / SA platform with this gun, I'd say this is a nice way to do it. But even w/ the LTT parts, the DA/SA trigger on the PX4 is not as good as an out of the box DA/SA setup on a stock CZ Shadow 2 (IMHO).

I mention all that to say that... the LTT versions of the Berettas go a long way in modernizing the platforms. However (my perception is that) Beretta handgun platform seem to be 2-3 model generations behind the market / competitors and are usually at a 30-40% premium to their competitors at MSRP.

Given what this gun is selling for I don't think you can go wrong if you want to get into the 92 platform. Just know that it comes with some limitations even with the LTT work over.

Also, the factory LTT Berettas are not the same as an LTT from them directly or sending your firearm to them to work over. They are built at Beretta using LTT parts.
