I had the same experience in racing where I thought seat time was the solution so I'm taking the same lesson forward to seek out training early.

One advantage of shooting I find advantageous over racing, is the ability for dry fire training to develop subconscious habits.

Thanks for the suggestions for the class.

I mean, you know, it's like....

Are you asking about the Baer Solutions class or the intro to IDPA class? If it is the former, it's the level 1 & level 2 pistol course in Arizona later this year. If it is the latter, the intro to IDPA course was facilitated by my local IDPA club at one of the local ranges that the club uses for club matches. I don't think the IDPA proper puts on these courses. It looks like that is left up to the individual clubs to facilitate (which is how I was able to take it).

The Baer class. I’m strongly considering the one here in TN in October for medical essentials and it looks like there’s some pistol thrown along the lines of evac when you’re injured or evacuating an injured person with an active threat.

As much as I’d love to get some more shooting training in, I’m more likely to need medical training in the real world so I’m trying to make the responsible decision of prioritizing that for now.

Got it. I'm taking the Level 1 and Level 2 pistol courses.

If you can't take the Baer shoot course right now, you might want to consider getting his shooting training book. I'd say its geared for the more experienced shooter who wants to create structure to their shooting training (like you would a gym program) to establish track able outcomes and metrics to chart progress over time.

lizard84 My “fuck it” list is lengthy

Not the point or my logic , as intended Browning designed the 1911 for 45.

He designed a fine double stack 9mm too, the Browning Hi Power.

    10mm is a fine caliber.

You can still find some good built aks on the for sale sites for around $1k that Will perform better than the psa.

Have you seen S12? Mickey at Carry Trainer gets a bunch of his friends together and puts it on in the Nashville area. . They focus a lot on medical, you’ll leave TCCC certified. Lots of other real world stuff. My son is 18 and I plan on taking him in the next year or two. I think you the shooting part is pretty beginner level but a refresh on the basics is always good. To me the value is from everything else.
I tried to link it but there are a million videos on YouTube or just go straight to the Carry Trainer YouTube channel.

I’ll check it out, much appreciated. Getting to see their teaching style in advance is definitely a big plus for me. I watch a lot of Baer’s videos so I think I have a good feel for his teaching style and I learn from it effectively.

If you guys follow Scott Jedlinski at MSP you’ve probably seen this little gizmo but I just got mine in today. If you have a claw on your holster this screws onto that for common holsters and goes over your belt. I pretty much carry in Tier 1 APX holsters and thought they were pretty solid. This definitely helped lock it in and get an even more consistent grip. It’s a little absurd to pay $30 for plastic but it does a good enough job I’ll buy another set so I can have one on every holster. https://www.kratosdesigngroup.com/product/msp-griffin-holster-claw/

He was doing that mostly with his “noculars” and then I looked through them backwards and it made sense.

    Unless it's a killer deal, or 10" is too short, I can't imagine buying a PSA over a zpap92.

I had Langdon do a full workup with their NP3 parts on the 92fs I've had for decades, and then a few months later my son bought a built NP3 LTT from them directly.
The trigger change makes it a completely different gun.

I’ve been really struggling not to buy this. I say send it. If I didn’t already have 3 92s (one of which is actually for sale), I’d have probably have one of these on the way already. The 92 is my 3rd favorite pistol platform and Langdon knows their shit.
