Fucker!! We are all good. Some of our coastal areas are still under water but for the most part everyone is good. Our power will be out for a while since Entergy (localish power company) had a main transformer that fell into the Miss River. Have no idea the lack of foresight that went into that shit. All of the levees held. The Mayor of the City is a moron but we already knew that. The Storm was almost Katrina size and strength but that shit was prevented this time.
My buddy's flight last night that was supposed to end up in JFK. Said they tried to land, plane skidded and started to go sideways, pilot pulled back up, drew a d**k in the sky and they landed in Hartford,CT
Currently watching the bouncing raindrops on the deck, after watching the radar loop of the big cell breaking apart, splitting around us and regrouping on the other side of us. This is the kind of service you get when you sell your soul.
Your guess is as good as mine. I'm thinking I will have to use the sump pump and drain it all out and refill. If I do it through the pool filter it'll continuously get clogged
Word man. I only ask cause I have "eventual pool dreams" here and I never thought about THAT particular problem, of all problems. Hopefully not too bad.
In another note, my buddy at work is from Jersey. one of those tornados ripped thru his buddies town yesterday and he sent us a pic of dude's house completely levelled. Guy was in his basement with his family and crawled out of a pile of wood on a concrete slab with his wife and kids and all, unharmed. Nuts.
About 24 thousand gallons is about $80-$100 in my area Wow! Great to hear they were able to walk out unharmed
Save your filters and plumbing! Go rent a pump from United/Sunbelt/etc and dewater the pool. Then clean up the remaining dirt and mud.
My only fear right now is that the water table is going to be very high right now, or is it not a worry?
