How comfortable are you with breaking the law?

    dtalbott Driving somewhere, hauling something.

Situation I see every day. Three lane interstate, 70 mph speed limit.

I was taught 5 mph over the speed limit was somewhat ok, but much higher was inviting a ticket. I routinely see traffic 20 to 40 over the limit.

My truck tops out at 68, and I'm in the right lane 99% of the time.

Around these parts, if you’re not doing at least 15mph over the limit even in the slow lane , you’ll get damn near run off the road

Flow with the traffic. Don’t be the dumbass blasting and weaving through traffic, don’t be the “I’m doing the speed limit, I can be in any lane I want!” Mouth breathing regard.

the people doing 40 over will be closing down the highway when a situation arrises beyond their talent level. Its the avg speed that counts.

On many stretches of highway, vehicles travelling at the posted speed limit are a road hazard, regardless of what lane they're in.

Maryland state police had a psa on television about 20 years ago. They said if you’re 10mph over the posted limit then they’ll leave you alone, and prefer you did do the posted limit as your minimum speed. They said it cut down on other drivers anxiety and road rage. Just keep at 10 over maximum

Man its infuriating driving through mid altantic states with 4-6 lanes and you still have left lane campers and dipshits lined up along side them. SC sucks on I95 because its only 2 lanes, crashes happen often, and rest assured they will shut the road down for a day if need be.

Maryland is finally posting signs saying “slower traffic keep right”………still doesn’t fix stupid though.

    Don't try that in Ohio.

Those troopers would write their great grandmother thats a nun and living in poverty a ticket for 2 over and have an airplane pace her.

15 over on anything posted 35mph or higher. No issues.

Lead, follow or get out of the way!

Speeding is technically NOT a crime it's an infraction.

Unless you are doing over 100mph, that is technically criminal in most states

Gotta love Maryland and their welcome signs.

What worries me the most about the speed is rate of closure.
