Mine didn't work in my DVD player but played perfect in my X-box, I guess my DVD player is just too old. Great video
WOW Got mine today too and absolutely LOVED it you did a great job I really love the shots looking "up" at your face from the dash or wherever the camera was. gives my "non racing" friends a peek into the concentration etc, etc racing takes, you did a wonderful job James
Mark- First off, great DVD! Really enjoyed the coverage of tracks I havent been to yet. I did have a problem with sound/music "cracking" and not sounding clear enough to "turn it up" (too bad, good tunes!). I did try it on different DVD players (including my PSII), and all did the same thing (cracking/harsh sounding). No problems at all w/ the video coverage (again, great stuff and interesting camera angles). I'd be happy to ship it back for a replacement... want to hear all that sweet bike music "turned up" as well! Thanks- and again, great job!
What's your audio source? Your TV speaker? Try it on your computer and see if you get the same problem. If not it could be that your TV speaker can't handle it. Try playing it through surround sound on your DVD player if you have it. If nobody else has reported this problem I seriously doubt it's anything wrong with the DVD.
Although some of us are old, and turn the sound down if we can't hear the the sweet singing of an I4 at 11K or count the downshift/upshifts.
Mark, the video was great. My girlfriend told me I looked like a two year old watching Barney(sitting really close to the tv)
WERA29- Nope. Run my PSII through my receiver/amp w/ surround, ect. I also tried it out on my brothers home theatre (sweet setup), as well as the girlfriends home theatre... same result.
Hate to hear you had sound probs. I'm not aware of anyone else having this, so I reckon it might be best to get the production company to burn another and ship it out (they burn these things one by one). To be honest, hearing of stuff like this is my own personal nightmare...but most people seems to be having no such probs. Whatever the production company do, I'll see you get sorted out right with a refund or replacement or whatever.
mine works great. even had some porno tacked on at the end. might want to call your production company.
Whats it got at the end??? I havent actually seen a finished version from them yet - have to wait untill I get back on Tuesday. I do understand that they replace any defective DVD's if there are any (well, you'd expect no less really). ...my only problem is that I have to buy my copies on-line too...
Mine did the same thing. It's not the DVD itself, but I think it's DVD players that are getting grey and turning old. I'm not sure the full details of the DVD burning process, but I put it into my powerbook and it played fine. I've burned DVD's on the powerbook that haven't played in my DVD player. I don't think it's the DVD itself, but just old hardware. -Steve
Hey Mark- No big deal man. Your gonna run into a few glitches, no need to get worked up over it. I'm not concerned, sure all will get worked out. Dont sweat it man (deep relaxing breaths... Get in touch when you get back across the Pond. No rush. Again, great job on the DVD! -Chris
Mark, sweet DVD. Mine came in the mail yesterday but the spousal unit didnt tell me about it. Having no problems with audio or video here on mine. You did an EXCELLENT job!!!!!
Huey did a damn fine job - thanks mate And a BIG THANKS to anyone that has mentioned this on other BBS boards. I dont think it has reached CCS, but NESBA and Cyleforum are posted on. I hate to go on these places with zero posts, so I dont - but I REALLY appreciate any referals.
For those that can't get the DVD to play in the player, there is a link on the purchase page explaining that they use DVD-R discs. They explain that older players will not play DVD-R. They also give a list of DVD player models that will play DVD-R. Only reason I haven't purchased Mark's DVD is that I don't know if mine will play the DVD-R or not. http://www.customflix.com/Customer/Compatibility.jsp;jsessionid=aBf0oC8Y-t3a
