Haydens done, Stoner time

Discussion in 'General' started by casjoker, Apr 21, 2007.

  1. Gee I wonder how much trust the riders have in Michelin tires now? They were commentating on how Michelin was telling the teams to TRUST us we know what will work. Whoops guess that guess was wrong. I'm curious as to why Michelin and Bridgestones are the only tires in MotoGP. Where is Pirelli and Dunlop?

Oh ya, Rossi was actually racing near the front with Elias riding to the limit of the Michelin put in the fastest lap before the tire went south.....Hayden was cruising, you're not going to win a championship that way this year I'm afraid.

I am afraid tires are overshadowing riders this year.

Elias being the exception of course - he prob could podium on Dunlops.

Please tell Mr. Rossi he's not going to win a championship burning up tires, either.

I think Hayden scored more points in that last race than Rossi did.

I'll share with you if he sends me one. :D

P.S. I had Hayden as one of my fantasy picks in the first two races. Might take a little time for the curse to turn itself off.

*** Spoiler alert *** Yeah, Hayden's wise conservation of tire made it possible for him to get past a gimpy Rossi who'd wasted his tire trying to stay up front. A racer has to be able to trust his tires. Michelin let him down for sure. I like Nicky but he didn't prove anything by passing Rossi on the same day the mid-packers owned Rossi.

Colin Edwards has definitely shown he's for real this year. Pedrosa isn't out of the mix either. Even the haters still know Rossi is the man to beat. Hayden's officially a mid-packer. I think it's going to be an interesting season.

I have an itching suspicion that Nicky's title defense will look like Alex Creville's...I hope not but it's starting to look that way.

So whose title defense did Rossi's look like last year?

A fighters, who made up a 51 point deficit, with 5 victories....I actually have no idea what Creville's title defence looked like :) but I'm guessing he didn't have 5 victories, and didn't lose by 5 pts.

Five wins and finishing second kind of sounds like a choke.

So defending his title 6 straight years followed by an impressive comeback after some serious mechanical issues to nearly take an 8th straight championship doesn't count for anything? Dang, what's a guy gotta do to get a little love around here?

Apparently win the championship every year, seeing how Hayden's championship was a fluke and all. :moon:

A)WOW...How long have you been a fan for?

B)If you have been a fan for awhile, you'd know how bad of a title defense Alex had.

I hope the American boys can step things up. I'm sure Hopper was wicked pumped to finish ahead of Nick seeing as how he hates his guts.
