I was in Italy last year in the Amalfi Coast area and as i was hyper focused on not driving off a cliff or into a bus i heard a bike roaring around me i looked over to see if it was a Ducati or Aprilia or something else cool and... it was a Tmax scooter with a full exhaust and a guy wearing a half helmet with shorts and a tshirt pretending to be Rossi. Hard to even call those things scooters as big and as fast as they are.
My $120 Piaggio Fly 150. Marketplace is awesome at times, if you see something first. I also have a Vespa ET2, slightly modified.
We have a Zuma 125cc. Mostly used for pit bike but I had my truck in for service at the time and would take the Zuma to the gym from my old place. Would take the back way 2 lane windy road into town. It will only do 45mph top speed eventually but still does great in the twisties. I would be too embarrassed to wave at the fellow bikers on the road. As well as my friends giving me proper shit at the gym. Usually came out with mirrors turned backwards or some shit as good friends should. That thing is bulletproof and will probably outlive me. Ridiculous gas mileage like 40 or 50mpg.
What did you do to your ET2? I did a frame-up rebuild on two salvaged ones for my parents as a his/hers gift. With some of the hills, I want a bit more power out of them, but I don't really want to mess up a perfectly working engine. Been keeping an eye out for a beater/crashed one I can use just for the engine, but no luck so far. The other problem will be that "a bit more power" will change into "how hard can I go until it blows".
its the same engine as the 2T zumas. Variator and a carb upgrade serve them well. If you want to get noisy add a pipe... Yamaha had a 100cc water cooled version zuma called the Aerox... loads of parts available for them.
Ponied up the big bucks on a gigantor Givi windscreen for the Majesty 400, did the first proper ride today and wow. I can't feel any chilly wind hitting me, anywhere. I'm thinking it could be 10 degrees F and you could do a nice ride with this screen, even the hands are out of the airflow. Just something so fun and weird about these maxi-scooters. I love riding this freaking thing, I commute 30 miles a day on it, and laughing in my helmet the entire time.
So who wants this bad ass Silverwing? Imagine the babes / dudes you'll pull at stoplights. I'm willing to run offers by him if you're interested. Album: https://photos.app.goo.gl/8KuiHtk9Bq1u1zTP7
I saw a group of riders in the mountains of Northern Thailand that were really ripping on fully tricked out T-Maxes.
