Can anyone confirm if a speedometer (or combination meter) from an 07 GSXR600 will work with a 08 GSXR600? The part numbers are different and the 07 has a white background, while the 08 has a gray background. Not sure if there are any other differences. Comparing the two wire diagrams in the service manuals, all the same colors go to the meter, but electricity doesn't know color and I don't have an actual pin out for the two. Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks.
The 08 has the "power map" spot on the gauges that the 07 doesn't have, next to the gear position indicator. I don't know if that would make a difference or change anything on the connectors. Sorry I don't actually know for sure.
