To put a face to the name, at the awards you turned around a looked at me and said "damn how tall are you?" while presenting novice A superstock.

Good to hear your doing the next Grattan, what about Mid-Oh?

you guys are doing the internet wrong.

You're only supposed to complain about shit. No complimenting allowed.

I love the complimenting part, just tone down the go to Speed part, that's how we keep losing good announcers :D

Charles did an outstanding job. Like Steve said, I ran out of the garage several times because of his announcing, I didn't want to miss the action. It's really great having someone that does such a great job at describing the action on the track like that. Thanks!!!

Jeez, can you imagine me announcing? I'd need someone there to hover over the BIG RED BUTTON. :D

Well, hopefully you can do Mid-O, Nelson and PIRC. That would be a welcome shot of excitement to the region.

+1! Charles is an awesome guy. Ask him about the dick and johnson battle he announced haha. One of the funniest stories I've heard!

Really enjoyed the passion he brought and the interviews. I also enjoyed the post race trophy ceremonies. Nice job and hope to see him at more NC events.

+1 on the announcing and award ceremonies

I thought everyone here liked him. Why the heck would you want to do that to the guy.

OK, I'll bite. :) Grattan needs to get a better sound system to go with his great announcing. The only speakers they had were near the tower, so the far end of the upper paddock only got "wah wah wah". I was looking for Lucy pulling the ball away from Charlie Brown at one point. Oh and a spare mic battery too.

Apparently the frequency someone chose to broadcast on was an even number. 90.0 or something. Hello!, modern radios only tune to odd frequencies 89.9, 90.1 etc. Guess I have to go to some 80's store and get an old transistor version for the next round

There you happy? Actually the whole weekend was nearly perfect.

The famous battle of Gary Dick and Anthony Johnson. I don't know that it would translate to a recording, but my God, you should have been there. We were like a bunch of 6th graders in the tower.

Charles always makes it sound exciting. Wish he was back in KC.
I always wanted to pipe his announcing into my helmet while I was fighting for first place.
    I can hear him now--

"Haze needs to come into pits and piss, have couple of rib bones, a beer and a smoke"

Charles, call me or Dominique when you come to town, I'll buy ya a beer or two
