Garrison Brothers is nice n' good. I've a Balmorhea in the cabinet that was presented as a gift and even the HoneyDew is pretty kick as, too (heh, that rhymes). Ironically, the wife drank most of the latter.

W12 is shitty. Weller Single Barrel, W12 and WSR are all crap.

CYPB, WFP, W107....thats where it's at.

@JBraun I've got a 16yr Exceptional Series Rare Character that I'd move for $300. It'd be a very unique bottle that you can't find anywhere else and gurantee'd the others haven't had.

Just stopped by for a bottle of my standby OldFo and they had a Weller Millennium up on the allocated shelf. Kinda surprised it wasn't under lock and key at $7500!

Does anyone have any experience selling bottles online? I picked up an Eagle Rare 17, Van Winkle 10 and 12, and a single barrel Weller. If I can’t make any money I’ll drink them, but I figured I’d look into it first.

I couldn't really figure it out in the 20 minutes I spent looking when I won that bottle. If it was ok to sell as a casual collector, or if totally illegal cause you couldn't really verify the legality of the buyer. Then there's brokers and such. I called one place in DC, they offered an ok offer, but then just ended up calling a buddy with a huge collection and expendable income and he bought it off me that day haha. Maybe try the first route I did and call a place in your town that deals with rare/fancy shit and see if they wanna give you a 60% of retail offer or something?

I know slight deviation (as in not Bourbon), but for $300 I'd grab a bottle of Oban 18yr. or Balvenie 21yr. Portwood scotch. I can't think of much more enjoyable for that price point. Its a shame because both of those have essentially doubled in price since like 2010 with popularity, but those would be my go-to's in that general vicinity.

    socalrider pathetic and rude

Personally I'd open the makers... But only because I've never tried that one and I've had the Weller. Doubt you will be upset either way though.

Last month, we were drinking old fashioneds out of a pair of Mason jars, with all of the family, on the old homestead.
That recipe is truly appropriate according to “guest of honor”, and sure helps take the sting out of the situation, with those that really knew her.
    RIP big sister.

    Sorry for your loss.

Sounds like she was there sipping with you, though.

When my pops was delirious and near death, one of his last coherent statements was "" Vanilla ice cream... and cherry coke"" . I think ol man thought he was at the soda fountain.

But the night he passed, we all sat around the table telling stories about the man over cherry coke/vanilla BlueBell floats.

    Damn eyeballs are sweating.....
