Correct-o-mundo... More trivia about parts bin "Hyper" cars. A McLaren and a bus? The strangest cars that share parts
I think Ford and Chevy are fucking up...at least in a business sense. $327k for the top of the line mustang GTD??? Similar money for the Corvette Z1RX??? The typical blue collar guy used to be able to buy the top of the line stang or even corvette. It was aspirational but achievable...no longer! When the A model is too far above a reasonable cost and the "Mr blue collar" has to settle for the C or even D level model then the whole "cool car" emotion is screwed. The is America where the middle class rules the roost, at least in the business sense. Creating cars the for the hoi piloy is a big mistake. Yeah, I'd buy one if I had that kind of scratch.....
You could have a private garage at Thermal,Chuckwalla, or Thunderhill... then fly your PJ in and helicopter to the track... enjoy turning a bunch of laps with the the other ballers paying $5500+ a day while your hired crew of 2-5 techs get it near perfection. Get chauffered back to the airport... be home in time for a late dinner with your supermodel trophy spouse/partner.
My Dodge has a Lambo motor in it. That's who Dodge contracted to turn that heavy ass iron V-10 into an aluminum block.
I don't know. Even if you have the money I just don't see the value in them unless you just need to park money for a bit and try not to lose any. They really aren't being built for anything other than racing and for people with too much money to have a place to park it for a while. That's really it. I have a real hard time broaching the 6 figure mark for anything mechanical and on wheels.
Lambo Diablo 6.0 The flip side is that the base card today is light years better (not just in absolute terms, but also relative to the competition) than the top of the line version was, back when it was cheap for good reason. And now that I think about it, you had to have a pretty sweet blue collar job to afford a 1990 ZR-1, which a lot of white collars also couldn't afford.

Huh? That kind of dough won't get you remotely that level of ride from Europe. And sorry but they don't all have personality. I find every MB or BMW I've been in to be boring as hell - same with a lot of Audis unless you're playing in the curves.
Yeah, I don't remember top of the line vettes ever being in even good blue collar range. Now a good vette was, but not the full pimp ones.
