FZR timing advance question

Ok other FZR guys…….offset timing key vs slotting the pickup. Are the offset keys reliable, or are they prone to cracking from stress etc? On previous FZRs I did the mod from the old archives, where I slotted the pickup to advance ignition. This weekend I most definitely noticed the lack of pull out of corners, compared to when I did the mod.

Silly dilemma now is I have a nice newly freshened stator/pickup coil that I didn’t want to mod this way, if the offset keys are good. Just curious about anybody’s experience if you had any with those factory pro keys…….

I've used the offset keys, never had any problems.

Alright, good deal. Ordering today. Really didn’t want to go filing on a nice new pickup coil.

Not much difference between the 3' and 5', just go with the 3.

Yeah, that’s the key I was talking about. Didn’t realise there’s a potential for the guy to be no longer around. Hope not the case as there’s a few things in my cart awaiting checkout. You ever do the BDK setup?

Any chance you have a 1wg bdk kit? If not, no biggie. I’ll look into his site.
