sure it's been asked and Johnny B will be swinging just curious mine was Pocono just because was close to home..next would be summit..
for a poor guy, ive been lucky to have been on a few tracks around the country. barber i think would take 1st...the changes in elevation just make it fun!
Road Atlanta. First race there, 1997. Last year of Gravity Cavity. First track day there, 1993. First time seeing large motorcycle gang, large bon fires, other people getting their beer stolen, and said gang members getting arrested the next morning, mid-70's. I still wish I had the pic my dad took of state highway patrol, county deputies, and other law enforcement vehicles surround the entire group and trap them in. Old school tow trucks would wrap their tow cable around a pair of Hardley Ablesons and yank them up in the air to tow them off. First time as a spectator, probably 1972.
Riverside ! The Armco in turn 6 and the cement wall in turn 9 made you think ... (slow the F down)! Raced Auto Club, Buttonwillow, Daytona, Heartland Park, Laguna Seca, Las Vegas, Miller MSP, Riverside, Roebling, Sonoma, Steamboat Springs, Thunderhill, Wild Horse Pass, Willow Springs (& Streets, of course) ... and ... “The full-wood kingdom” in Beaumont. A virtual tie between UMC and Buttonwillow.
i kinda feel like dropping this one is cheating, but im sure @gpstar748 will agree with me... the Mountain Course.
Miller Motorsports (UMC now). First race was there at ripe the old age of 53. Unbelievable track, unbelievable organization, unbelievable group of racers and unbelievable memories of a great time in my life! @bwhip just because
Laguna because...well...Laguna. But Oregon Raceway Park was fun as hell! Not a flat part to it and on a liter bike it was just bonkers.
Of tracks I’ve been fortunate enough to ride: Favorite in North America - Mt Tremblant Favorite in the USA - Barber Both very challenging, with great variety and beautiful surroundings. And I’m sure mostly because of incredible memories with friends there. Several others I really love, but those are the two favorites.
When I was racing, Mid Ohio was my favorite competitive track since I was a bigger frame racer and the tracks technical nature helped equalize my body weight disadvantage. My favorite just…holy shit that was a blast track…Daytona. I’ll never forget my first time rolling up on that banking. Absolutely surreal.
Barber. Road America 2nd. Laguna is on the bucket list, need to figure out how to ride there someday.
Shifter Karts at Moran Raceway was A+ Most of the story is here http://blogs-mri.org/ Barber, PIRC and Road America are on the list
