EX250/250R Racing Everything you need to know

Replaced the engine in my old gen last week, no more blue smoke.

 

Looking for gas cap for 250, any suggestions?

Really good thanks! I'm jonesing for a ride but with a flat battery and bad weather I haven't made it happen yet. I would be racing at Tally if not for the worry I get from my sisters & my GF. Posts in the tech section, but didn't get much attention. Anyone have issues shifting into 6th? Pops out or is hard to engage?

 

Never did on my '08.

 

This has happened on every old gen 250 motor I've run (I'm on # 3). Huey said it was a bent shift fork, probably from my inaccurate rev matching on down shifts.




Hey Kurt, you still need that compression gauge then?

 

Mine is an 09. I did take it apart and saw no damage. One shift cog had SLIGHT wear, but that was it.

I have heard that there is a shift detent spring mod that solves this.
