This is one reason I left SoCal... when they raised the price of an El Pollo Loco combo bowl from $5 to like $9. F them!
    Drive safe, Rob.

I was out there in September to visit family and was floored at the cost to eat out. Breakfast for 4... ninety bucks. Lunch for 4... Hundred bucks. and so on. It seemed like every meal cost me a hundy.

Can't say I've driven a Bendi but I was an absolute ace
on everything else including clamps, slip-sheets and
    double carriage lifts.

So you want a Pneumatic, that style of forklift has more ground clearance. However that doesn’t mean there is air in the tires. In the old days yes, now often they are solid pneumatic, which is more money, but doesn’t get flats, and solid is the kind we have on special for $399. Ther are also Rough Terrain lifts, and 4wD lifts. The last two I only have new.l in stick, but can get others through my wholesalers.

That takes a lot of time. I am decent on a lift, but not so quick on a standup. I just bought 24 clamps from a guy liquidating them. Hopefully I sell or rent them and don’t scrap them in another 20 years when I finally retire.

The articulated trucks (Bendi or Flexi) are pretty cool, they can work in a narrow aisle only 6.5 feet wide. Pretty neat deal.

Try eating up north in the San Fran area where minimum wage is now $100 per hour. Everything is double compared to Los Angeles. A friggin chicken bowl and chips that cost me $10 at Chipotle in Montana is $20 in the bay area.

I just stopped for a pizza and 2 beers and it was $48.

The Bay Area is crazy. I remember five years ago talking to forklift company owner up here, and he had to pay a receptionist 40 bucks an hour just to answer the phone.

Unfortunately when I was in high tech, i never took a job up here, so I could have parlayed some of that ridiculous money into my savings account. However, I also never had to deal with the weirdness up here. That was even apparent in the late 80’s to early 90’s when I could have taken a territory up in the Bay Area.

I have some electrics that I can “dial in” from 10 down to…. I don’t know how slow, would have to ask the manufacturer.
