@MELK-MAN ... at the current clearance prices on the 23 & 24s its very hard to pay a few thou more for the same thing. I paid $8750 delivered for a 24 Husky Heritage 350. The 25s are in showrooms & about to get some heavy discounting & incentives... feel bad for the folks waiting on 26s... as the supply is going to be reduced and msrps increased.
Thanks for the info. I don't really have much interest in trail or woods riding, tbh. Early next season I may rent an XC-F of some kind and try out the local OHV system. Most likely, I'll do some MX or just stick to my supermoto.
i paid $12,500 OTD for both my 2022 250xcf's. this was a couple years back when the bike market was insane.. used bikes were bringing crazy money. just not sure i want a 23 or 24 yet, as my 22's and high hour 19 are still very usable. at some point gonna need new bikes though..
YZ125-X<——not the standard motoX 125. I’m ready to take the plunge on a new dirty bike, and juggling multiple options and purposes to each. But I’ve been thirsty for the 125x since they came out………..the paternal side of me is telling me no, but the other paternal side of me says that I need to accept she’s almost 20 years old and she’s got a couple choices in the stable to choose from as it is. I feel guilty if I go get the bike I want……….but gawd dammit I want that 125x!!!
Ive got a 250x, they are awesome bikes for the price. I haven’t ridden a 125x, but Id imagine they are great too. Probably much more linear power than the mx125. If physical size isn’t an issue, Id recommend the 250x, as its pretty tame and extremely luggable. I don’t think that the 125 is quite that luggable without some modding.
I've ridden the regular 125 side by side with a 125X on the same day... I couldn't tell the difference between them, both needed to be screamed to move. I've also woods ridden a KTM 150SX, at that size bracket I'd go 150 all day long, that little bit of extra low end grunt makes it sooo much easier to ride.
That’s where my paternal guilt comes into play……getting something I know she’ll be able to ride also We do one or 2 hare scrambles a year, and she’s taken a liking to my klx140 now, and the 125x keeps us in a class together if she’s on the 140. We don’t race scrambles enough to be very fast anyways. Plus we are going to start going back to a local MX park next to Budds Creek that’s more tame with less jumps and more cornering etc. I think the 125 is geared more towards the training/play I want to do for RR. Don’t get me wrong, I’d love the 250x also
I’ve had others say the same, then others say they feel the difference. At this point I’m willing to take the gamble…….worse case scenario I end up with a new sweet little 2t
Im in a FB group for “x” bikes. There is a guy on there that is pretty knowledgeable, and has modded his 125x to be very luggable. Not sure what he did, but he has posted videos as proof. So it is possible with the right knowledge.
W Well right now sure isn't a bad time to buy if you wanted a fresh one. I can't believe the deals out there for new Austrian bikes but eventually they will all be gone.
Those are the obvious things. There was more to it than that. Hes posted videos making custom parts. I think its some custom power valve stuff.
Yeah that’s where I’m at………I could finance it and not sweat the payment nowadays. But it’s my usual “karma cookie/Murphys law/damn-why’d-i-do-dat” that I seem to be plagued with that’s making me gun shy I’m still in recovery
That facility is awesome!! People drive hundreds of miles to patronize. A friends wife just got an electric KTM from them.
