Finally got a reply from Greg. He claims they have been responding to my emails. I haven't received any until I made this post and then magically emails seem to be working again.

He asked for a decription of my warmer and said "Maybe we can get it sorted."

That's been a week ago with no further communication. While it's a shame that Capit Italy doesn't seem to support the Americas well, that has nothing to do with responding to customers. They had other means of contacting me from the beginning.

I would lean towards sending to Superbike Unlimited if anyone has any warranty or repair needs. My confidence in Capit Americas dwindles with each passing day.

    Embarrassed for them.

Reached out to Superbike Unlimited via their website 3 weeks ago to ask if they can repair a Capit warmer. No response yet.

Got one reply from Superbike Unlimited before Christmas, asking for details of repair. But no replies since I've sent those details. Not feeling confident about any of the options to repair Capits at this point.

So if I was buying new warmers, and don’t want to risk the lack of support, what should I get? Chicken hawk or woodcraft? I hear some woodcrafts won’t fit under front fenders due to the helpful disconnect plug

lots of folks seem to like the single temp CHR’s

    thanks

I ended up sending my Capit warmers to Capit USA for repair. Will report back on how it goes.

woodcraft disconnect is great but they heat slow.

chicken hawks. i never had a set but herd a lot good things about them.

We have 2 sets of the supreme Capit's mine are 4 years old wifes are 3 and both sets have been flawless and they heat fast.
I am a stt coach so they get used a ton every season.if mine died this spring i would 100% buy another set.

I did see STG has started selling them this year as well.

Sent my warmers to Capit USA 3 weeks ago. I haven't been able to get a response from them since. Not looking good.

I'm in the market for warmers and based on this thread, it looks like I'll be going with Chicken Hawks. I ran them years ago and they were great. Seems like it's more reliable and easy to deal with in case something happens.

I'm happy to report back that all is well that ends well.

After sending my warmers to Capit USA in January and then not being able to get them to respond for ~6 weeks, I reached out to Capit Italy. They were able to get Greg at Capit USA to forward my warmers to their current US distributor, Superbike Unlimited. SBU repaired my warmers, and I received them about 1 week after SBU received them from Capit USA.

I'm glad that it all eventually worked out because the 2 pair of Capit warmers I have really are fantastic. Everyone who crews for me or borrows my warmers tells me how great they work.

Capit Italy took care of me once because the USA division wasnt helping.
they randomly reached out to me via Instagram last week asking if my repair was ever taken care of, then referred me to contact Superbike Unlimited.

one question i had for anyone with bright colored warmers, is what do you do to keep them clean with the chain lube getting all over the side?

I had a Kramer 690R and it had very little clearance between the chain and tire. I would deconstruct cereal boxes and use them to go over the chain just prior to mounting the warmers(trim to fit and fold over the chain). It worked well for me and was disposable. I usually got one day of use from each piece.

Glad you finally got yours back.

Still nothing from Greg on mine after almost 4 months of trying to get this resolved. Finally told him to keep the tire warmer. Have no desire to use it any longer after this experience.

Got another set of Woodcrafts. At least I know Eric will respond if I need support.

Trainwreck I could give a heck

Greg has had my friends warmer for like 8 months now. He no longer responds to his texts/calls. I lopve my CapIt warmers when they work.. but after dropping $1300 only to have to have them repaired 3 times (once was my fault) and it takes half the season to get them back, i decided they're not the option for me. I bought a set of Redline Pro warmers last year. and i liked them so much i bought another set. They get real hot, but not as fast as the CapIts. (CapIts use a power source for each warmer, while the Redlines are a single power source) They are also around $700, not $1300...

I had one issue last year with the redline front, and Joe from Turn One Racing (who i purchased them from) Swapped me out for a brand new set right there at the track. He handled all of the warranty work on his end and I didn't have to do anything except walk back to my pit and put the new warmers on. THAT'S SERVICE! I recommend giving Joe a call if you want a nice set of quality warmers that he will stand by.

Tell him Billy Ball sent you. I wont get anything from it, but my name is funny to say.

By way of update to the forum. There have been a number of issues with CAPIT Italy that have caused numerous delays and issues on the USA side. We certainly see and understand the frustration, and have felt the same over the past number months. On the USA side, we have absolutely not provided the type of customer service that we would prefer to provide. We own that and take full responsibility. We are finalizing a few of the repaired warmers that we have to get them back to customers. We certainly apologize for the delay and frustration. That said, it's no all on us, however we will take responsibility for it. If you or your friends have an issue that has not been resolved, please reach out to us at [email protected] or [email protected]. We will do what we can to get things sorted.

As far as the why this happened, details will be shared in the coming days. We'd been selling and servicing customers pretty well for the most part, with a few issues here and there. Many of the issues are due to production times in Italy, availability of parts, and lack of warranty support from the factory. We will continue to move forward. There will be some announcements soon. Apologies if you or people you may know have been negatively impacted. That was not our intent, and in many cases, not our choice.
