Sooooooo am I reading this correctly, I have to run "Next Gen" electronics? I've slowly started reading the rulebook, and forgive my ignorance, as the last Daytona's I built were the previous gen 675 R Do the STR765 require Triples and linkage? I hate to admit this but I have not had the latest Street3 on track yet and haven't even ridden the tbw. I don't see a lot of them, but If I were to build one for the 200, It appears that I can run my ole trusty gal 675 or the 765.
Which class are you building for, as some 765s are Super Hooligans legal, and you're not required to run 'Next Gen' electronics on those? If going SuperSport, I think there is a path to using the OEM setup still, but don't quote me on that as I'm not super versed on those rules.
In 2025 everyone in Supersport will be required to run a mektronic kit ECU unless they push that move back another year. For the 765 if you search for the eligible parts for competition list it'll layout exactly what parts are allowed. I believe you can swap out the top triple but have to leave the rest. There's an engine build kit you'll need too.
I have no real info other than we were on pit lane next to Hicky last year and his bikes were downright awesome. He was on '22 spec bikes and did have the Mektronic kit ECU. I remember peaking and it appeared to have an OEM lower clamp, but aftermarket top triple.
"2025 MotoAmerica Supersport - Next Generation Supersport Control Electronics System WSS_600 (Mectronik) will be compulsory for all teams and competitors" -Motoamerica Technical bulletin 06-5000-24
Look at the list of approved parts for the 765 The link is on the competotior info page.. That will give you an idea of what you can do. It's an excel spreadsheet and it's a long list of parts..
You'll be stuck using the 765 because of the mandated ECU/Settings in MA. Shame cause the 675R is just as fast around a track and requires less to make race worthy.
