Anyone out there own one of these newer models 23/24? Love the look and sound of the 40th anniversary Stars and Stripes edition, but have no information from a personal experience outside of old models.

AFAIK it is the old model, no updates of any significance beyond cosmetics.

There are some good videos on YT about it....Nothin' fancy. 'cheap' feeling. Kinda behind the times in electronics and what not...which you may like.

Not a huge fan of Yammie Noob on YT but he does a pretty good job with his vids.

Thanks. I’ve watched those videos and talked to a local dealer, wanted to see if anyone on the board had one on hand. I enjoy the older big VTwin (had a TLR) and the cable throttle option as well. Maybe someone has one.
EBR does not exist, Buell is still making bikes. Weird story.

That Stars and Stripes edition is just flat out beautiful. Can’t get much more ‘Merica than that.

yes they do and there now built in Grand rapids Michigan.

Erik is not part of the company neither is Harley.

There are basically hand built. I have a track guy that works for them they been working pretty hard to make them better then the previous generations.

I dont have much more info than that

Right on, i get it. I bought a new '97 TL1000s.....Always kinda lookin to find another one for shits and giggles. I broke it and my leg in half at the Gap in '98. Bought a new frame from Suzuki, and turned it into a race bike.

Yes and no. It's not Buell but the people who bought the name and equipment. Keeping it small and simple probably yields a better result than previous bikes but I just can't get my head around the price they are asking

Truth i have been invited to come tour. i really need to make the time to it's 30 minutes from me.
I appreciate they have jammed a bunch of untested stuff out like the previous attempts to revive the brand did.

I was fortunate enough to get a tour awhile back. The assembly area is what you would expect, but the amazing part to me was the warehouse of service parts they maintain. Wow.

FWIW the parent company is the same people that bought out the Motus parts stash. They are motorcyclists and are trying to do the right thing for the Buell brand.

    Cooter! Sarcasm level: Maximum

The "New" Buell is mechanically, exactly the same as the 2014-2017 EBR 1190 and nothing wrong with that. Some new body panels on the new ones that IMO look great. Cable throttle, no ABS, laughable TC, a small but clear TFT dash, weird brakes that are fine for the street, and pretty dang reliable 180HP with torque curve that looks like Devils Tower. Parts are easy to get but getting more expensive, still cheaper than anything else I own! haha.

You won't get any more of a raw and pure experience than that. Yes there are better bikes, yes it has the least amount of tech possible, and exactly why I love them.

    X-mas day!
