my wife turned a little prematurely and in our condo parking structure and kissed a cement pole. I got a reference from the local Subaru dealership. I've never had to deal with this and would rather wait until I move back to California in a few years to fix but am worried about salt rusting the non-painted section.

What should I plan to spend to fix this?
Anyone know of a good place in/around Toronto, Canada?

I'd take it a local Cortez or someone of his abilities and pay cash if possible but I'm not in the states. I'd prefer to pay without the hassle of insurance if it's not too far from my deductible which is $2000 and frankly why j set it there.

You could spray over it yourself to prevent rust damage and have a body shop fix it later.

Feather the areas where it's down to metal with some 220. Buy some rattle can primer and apply lightly to those areas. Sand around those areas with some 600 and spray it with some rattle can white. Mask off the trim panels.

This will get you by til youre ready to fix it

Scuff and krylon till you get home. Keep an eye on it and repeat every year as the krylon won't stand up to the salt...

By the pic, it looks super minor and depends on how good you want it to look, ie, new trim etc. I'd say a grand on the high end to repair. Not sure of the standards in Canada for the inner fender stuff, but doubt that area was disturbed. ..

Worth a quick stop at a local shop

Ah yea, I see it now.

Whats your budget? I know a retired body guy who did my fiances car with similar damage and my moms car that got rear ended and had to be put on a frame to be straightened out.

Hes in Tottenham, 45 min north of Toronto. lemme know.

Budget isn't an issue just want to go to someone reputable and not get hosed. I would have a $2k deductible if I couldn't afford it, just don't want to get someone to tell me it's 3 when it should be 1.5 and then do a shut the job to boot.

I figured the almighty beeb might know someone. Sure enough already had a few pms.

    Thx guys!

Go to a shop that specializes in minor bumper and doording repairs. Micropaint in Calgary does it, probably $3-400 for minor paint to fender flap and buff to rest. PaintF/X used to do it too. Body shop will be min $1k.
