I remember reading that someone here worked for/knew someone that worked for an Apple parts supplier.

    Looking for an 8-Gig kit

    # Module Size: 8GB Kit (4GBx2)
    # Package: 204-pin SODIMM
    # Feature: DDR3 PC3-8500
    # Specs: DDR3 PC3-8500 • CL=7 • Unbuffered • NON-ECC • DDR3-1066 • 1.5V • 512Meg x 64

Crucial has it for $800 but hoping not to spend that much. If anyone can help me out I would be grateful!

Damn, Cannoli, can't leave nothing alone, can ya? :D
You get Snow Leopard in yet? Installing mine tomorrow soon as I do a Time Capsule backup. Really excited to see what it does with Boot Camp 3.0 and power management.

Playing with VMWare Fusion and Solaris 10 and WinXP. When I run them I only have a few megs free and would like to max the system out now.

Should be in Wednesday. Looks like a nice upgrade. I do Time Capsule backups hourly with the built in utility. Nice tool to have running when you like to tweak the OS :p

Yep all of my added RAM has come from them. You probably don't need it but they also have excellent installation videos for memory and drives.

That was looking like about the lowest that I saw it, also. I'll be waiting a little longer for it to come down some more. (Hopefully)
