Man i am dying to watch some racing, just wanted to see what kind of turn out that Talledega race usually has?

Anybody heard anything about JEP Palmour or Travis King are they going to be back this year?

Turnout is usually really good. It's always fun to see the new bikes and get an early feel for who is riding what. Of course the last couple of years (and this one) I have ot go to the dealer show in Indy - not my first choice of things to do with my weekend. Luckily this year I get a racing fix by going to Texas World this weekend [IMG]

Last I heard Jep is still healing from the latest round of fixes on his leg. Heven't heard anything about Travis recently. Anyone else have news?

Does anyone have a recommendation for lodging near Talladega? We will be traveling from the great white north.

There is a Econo-Lodge and a HO-JO's at the Talladega exit. Can't comment on how nice they are, never stayed there. Because the track is only 80 miles from the house and it takes about 30 minutes to get there. Only because I live in Georgia and Alabama is an hour behind us. [IMG]

I've stayed at the Econo-Lodge several times which was decent. What makes it worth-while is that alot of the racers seem to go there (as well as Ed Bargy and crew), so chances are you and a few others will be bench-racing well into the night.

Lots of places to stay at the Oxford/Anniston/Talladega exit off I-20 - Days Inn, Econolodge, Travelodge, Holiday Inn, etc...
My favorite is Hampton Inn. Free coffee pulls me in every time.... [IMG]
