Can now buy Moonswatches right from the site... guess those resale values are about to tank. https://www.swatch.com/en-us/bioceramic-moonswatch-collection/bioceramic-moonswatch.html
Some of you may already be aware of this, but I never knew that rolex values were charted/tracked to this extent: https://watchcharts.com/watches/brand_index/rolex
Yeah but look at the 5y chart...up 18%. I mean dont 'invest' in a rolex, but unless you bought at the peak, a bubble or your model goes out of favor, they normally go up a tad every year.
I just found the data interesting. Confirms how royally I screwed up. I bought a SS Daytona in 2011 at retail price(11k I think). Sold/traded it for a small loss in 2012. Doh.
So, my Seiko 007 was running way fast so I opened the back to access the regulator and ended up damaging the spring. Who is the go-to on repairs or replacing the movement?
@SteveThompson is the man. He replaced the movement in one of my Tags. After USPS clobbered it during shipping, he rebuilt it perfectly.
My brother, who out cheapskates me by miles, is looking at one. I like Tudors but they all have one or two details that kept me away. So, bang for the Buck are they as good as I think they are? How do they hold up? Rather ask here, what movement is in the BB?
I have never worn one, but the reviews are pretty good. Its an in house mvmt, COSC I believe. Its only 39mm, shorter lug to lug and a bit thinner than the BB41. Overall a nice watch. I think I personally prefer the Pelagos, square markers, no gold, more lume...kind of more of an outdoor, dive tool watch than the BB. Buts thats just me.
I bought one for my business partner a couple years ago. It's a black dial/bezel on a bracelet. Fantastic watch. I almost wanted to keep it.
What a debacle. Ugh. My entire watch shop is in storage. We sold our house and moved to an apartment. I may get everything set up here, but we have been traveling a bunch. You can buy the whole movement for about 50 bucks. I replaced a couple for people on here. You have to be able to remove and replace the hands, so if you had trouble before it might not be a diy project.
I have a bunch of modern Tudors and one vintage piece. I have the Black Bay 58 gmt. I really like it. I’m actually wearing my Pelagos right now. It’s turned in to my adventure watch. One I like to wear but am not heartbroken if something happens to it. I don’t think Tudor can be beat in the bang-for-the-buck category.
