So as of this year my trusty bell race star has dated out (first helmet I ever made to date out and I'm pumped about it haha!) So the big deal here is I'm Italian and have the world's biggest nose lol. Agv, shoei, and aria have always been a bad fit for me as my nose literally either touches or juuuuuuuuust about clears the front of the helmet. My choice helmet for the last 10+ years has been the bell race star. Its been a great helmet and I have had pleanty of test impacts with it and had great results. But..... To lead to this post. The new alpinstars r10 looks like a potential upgrade for me. Nobody local to me stocks them so I can't try one on. So before starting the journey of order and return just wondering who is trying one and what they think about it and the fitment. If by some miracle a large nose size large ex bell racer has tried one I would be very interested to see what you think but I am open to anyone who has tried one and your opinion. Thank you all in advance!

I can tell you I have a kind of regular-ish size nose... maybe on the slightly bigger side? I regularly wear an AGV K6. I've also tried on the Supertech R-10 because MV is doing a limited edition version that I wanted to order. The sizing is the same albeit a little more snug. I wear a Medium in both, but the R-10 feels slightly more snug (on the cheeks) that the Medium AGV.

Sadly, I can't comment on the amount of nose-room because it wasn't really an issue for me in helmets, so I didn't pay attention.

Probably not local to you, but the guy that runs this business is very dedicated to helping out motorcycle people of all kinds. He is local to me, (mn). He stocks these, is a racer himself, and will not sell anything without trying it first. He stocks most of the high end gear. If nobody here can get you the info that you need, don’t be afraid to reach out to him, Im sure that he would be more than happy to help.

Where are you located? And most dealers didn't stock them because they have been crazy hard to get ahold of but just recently theres been a very small amount of helmets available to order so you might start seeing them pop up a little more. I had dealers waiting from February orders that JUST got the final bits of their order. I think they grossly underestimated demand.

Then why not go with another Bell or an HJC? They both have some very good helmets.

Then get the Bell or a HJC until you can figure out the fit of the Alpinestar helmet and they’re more available.

From the way you’ve spoken it sounds like you’ll smack your dome off the pavement soon enough. Maybe get two Bells or HJCs, big nose? :D

Have you tried a Shark helmet. Love the fit and comfort of mine. I’ve been a Shoei guy for a decade till this one.

I have been lucky to not have bounced my head off the ground since 2020. The helmet I got after the 2020 crash was a left over 2019 so that's how it dated out. I was going to get another bell but I thought bell discontinued the star line? Maybe I'm wrong? That would be great lol.
