Anybody know of a source for parts? I've got a line on one, but it needs a piston and a expansion chamber. thanks, Jake

Does it have an existing bad piston? If so measure it up and spend a little time with a Weisco catalog and I'd be willing to bet that you'd be able to find a piston from another bike that would fit and work fine.

Thanks for the tip, but this is no moped. It's a 1965 or '66. production racer. Italjet used a "special race engine" built by Minarelli. Minarelli later won several small bore world championships. A very young Eddie Lawson learned how to road race on a Vampire.

yeah....i know what it is. perhaps the guys at 1977 mopeds know what it is too. and perhaps they have parts for it or know where you can find them. too me, if your as stuck as you seem to be, an email or a phone call is a good investment....or you could take craig's advice.

I'm of no help but sure do remember them racing around club events in Southern Cal back in the early 70's

Might try looking through the commercial and classified ads in 'Classic Bike' and 'Classic Racer': both Brit mags and usually can find them at Barnes and Nobles, I believe.

Otherwise, better brush up on your Eye-talian.
