Tyler Watson I know what you meant, I just ignored it

Would it be too crazy of an idea to have a class where all these "new" entry models are put together and then see what direction things go from there? Maybe have it be some sort of half "open"/half "next generation". I understand that might not seem exactly "prestige" but things are changing enough that a mashed up group would be fun imo.

I can get behind the windscreen change, but no slicks on track sounds like a nightmare. DOT cost more and are more dangerous when adding real pace o_O

There were only 3 relay teams at Nelson endurance. All 3 finished in the top 8 overall. 4th 5th and 8th overall.

There were around 20 relay teams at GNF. Probably because most people were using it as practice.

No 750s or 600's in a twins class, just twins and triples.

While the riders may not be able to do it I have to look at the potential of the bike and they are definitely faster than a 600.

Superbike groms can enter the other mini classes.

It's a possibility with the newer twins being faster. It way outclassed the SV's and such which is why it never was in LWT.

We have plenty of classes where they are all legal - I just need to see them on track to get a feel for how they do and can performance index them down if warranted.

Much as that bothers me being an endurance fan, they also paid for the day...

Martin Lewis Can we go back to the track already?

Or an 8 hour? Either one would be pretty epic.

Ha, thanks Keith. It's nice you recognize the effort we put in for an endurance weekend. Doing both the 2 and 4hr leaves us wishing for a crew when it comes to tearing down the pit. Honestly, we have always subscribed to the KISS idea and we have helped our finishes many times with strategy off the track. Lance actually came up with another thing at the GNF we could do for stops that I haven't seen anyone else do that saves us even more time. No one probably even saw as we pitted 50 yrds away from anyone else.

Please consider 750 twin Honda hornet for lightweight twins, way less output than 660 ape and new big GSX8. Thanks

    Would anyone run one? :D

All in all though, if I add a parallel twin displacement for the Suzuki it would allow the Honda as well.

I’d love to see open M/C availability in supersport. It’s really a safety thing than performance. Brake pads have way more of an affect on actual performance than a m/c.
I believe it would be widely supported by most if not all racers.

I do understand the sentiment, but let me play devil's advocate here. A stock master is more than safe enough for club SuperStock though. If you believe otherwise then it must be a difficult time for you on a track. There's other reasons besides "safety" to allow an upgrade MC. I agree, some changes like this would make it easier for people who run both SuperStock and Superbike to comply while also retaining competition.

I will say for a moment, however, the people who are coming out and hazing others over this is detrimental to the sport. It's shameful that those who put the effort, time, and money for the love of the sport have to deal with people like this. We should all work to increase attendance, not tear people down because you want to look like a "cool" guy on the internet. As the sport slowly dies, the people blasting other's for no reason are certainly helping it die faster. (Okay that's it. Go ahead and call me whatever name you want for that opinion. I'll stand behind it with all my new up and coming track friends as we enjoy our racing together and hopefully without the bullies who never left high school)
