Was a great ride and win by Hank, with great riding and treacherous track conditions. I assume that was you on TV today, @voss555 ?
Anyone that's owned a KTM dirt bike in the last 20 years could see that issue coming. The shifters love to vibrate the bolt that holds it onto the spline. It's a super simple design that works well . . . When it's safety wired on. My 2005 had issues with it, same with my 2022.
I have wired my oil plugs and filter bolts on my FE 350s, but thank you for reminding me to wire my shifter bolt, @The Beer Hunter .
A few years of corner working gave me the impression that, after running out of fuel, adrift shifters were the next preventable leading cause of DNFs across all classes.
Nice pink hoodie under your rain poncho, @Robby-Bobby ! Plenty of air-time for you and Bodie during the track clean-up and schedule shifting for you all. Bodie looks like he's in it to win it, for sure! Cory was mentioned also. I saw a nice Mission Foods ad in the first few pages of last weeks's digital Cycle News advertising Bodie's win, but it's not there now.
Thanks man, yea dummy me didn’t pack anything warm and it was weird, there were actually several hours of chilly conditions. Bodie is special for sure. The good news is that the speed is there. I just need to harness it. lol majority of my other riders have always ridden 100% but Bodie, will happily go to 115% when in fact 90% is adequate. he is absolutely not afraid to crash, and will absolutely tell me if it’s better or worse as evident by every single session this season he’s improved his personal times. He got invited to something this weekend in Qatar so he flys away today. I don’t mind fixing the bikes, as long as he gives me honest answers and always tries his best. So far so good. currently juggling the expenses for the following: Crash repair/spares Another bike Expense of bringing in another kid. Box Van to get bikes and parts to races. (Currently the borrowing/begging isn’t working)
On the Van, I just got quoted $84 a day and $.27/mile from penske. 5 Days gets you a 7 day rental. So Roughly $560 to and from Barber. I think that's gonna be a better ask than someone Buying you a van or Financing one and keeping it in their name (think liability).
Yea I get that, unfortunately that won’t really work that great as a rental due to unload and swapping between dirt and asphalt. Actually looking close to having that sorted
That's pure fucking gold. Hey @Robby-Bobby , sorry I waited until the last minute to come say hi. I hope you enjoy the keychains.
