Bout 2008 or so.... had it laying around so I thought "why not" and made rulebook inquiries and was told I could. So I'll leave the twins cup bike at home and give this a whirl for giggles only.
Are you allowed to put full fairings on it? Clip-ons? I have one sitting in the garage that is collecting dust.
NO it has to be the "non fairing " model with the upright bars. I think it'll be fun...I read the rules and found it to fit, then was concerned about the year model so i contacted the powers that be and was told its allowed.
Stock engine, exhaust, open airbox and maybe a cam you may knock on door of the HP limit of 125. Probably just shy of 120 if I had to guess. You will definitely have no worry about the weight minimum with that heavy old girl. Have fun and good luck. Sounds like fun.
The "125hp limit" is "OEM CLAIMED HP".. the engine mods are as big as your checkbook, front runners are doing in the area of 140hp.... 120 would be great but more like 110-112... as far as weight, I' m a grandfather of 3 and way way past fitting in my prom dress so not worried about the bike weight LOL. I will just giggle on the banking just like my first time back in 1989!
My '05 SV1000S has Yoshi's, snorkel delete, airbox mod, and on pump gas it laid down an eyeball flattening 99hp on the dyno - albeit one at some elevation.
Ok let’s see if I got this right? A team that was sponsored by Pirelli and won the Daytona 200 TWICE in the past, has raced a wildcard WSBK entry at Laguna, then watches Pirelli win the past two races has to be bribed to use the tires in 2022? Sure, that makes a lot of sense
I hope you realize that there's a bunch of delusional people out there? And are you going to Big D this year?
The slamming on the 600's is lame. A buddy bought one of Russells Muzzy kawaskis and it Dynoed at 141 RW Horsepower. It was super fast back then.
