How about posting up your Vintage 7 projects for next year?

I picked up a high mileage 1992 zx7...complete with tacky "upgrades" and a blown 2nd gear!

Remember the fake carbon turn signals from the 90's?...yep they're on it.
Remember the two tone "ZX" seat?...yep it's on it.
Remember the purple anodized hardware?...yep it's got it.
Remember cheap chinese shorty levers?...yep those too.
...and of course the mismatched paint job.

    My winter plans include:
    Bike = make it better.
Rider = eat less ice cream.

Show us what you're working on for next year!

    Regards,
    Chad

I need to figure out what I'm going to do with this SR (not V7 of course, just a V:D)

    Won’t the ZXR be a V6 bike?
That’s what I’m planning on running my 92 ZXR in and hopefully if it ever gets finished my 996 in V7 and V8

    Make the bike better= Yes
eat less ice cream ? I would be careful about this. You may need the road hugging weight to rassle the Kaw around. You also don't want to diminish your strength.

Yes 1992 zx7 is V6HW eligible...but I started the thread to see what true V7HW bikes were being built.

I plan on running V6HW and bumping up to V7HW.

    Regards,
    Chad

    I'm 6"7" and 250lbs...the weight of the zx7 won't be a problem but I do feel better when I'm around 235lbs.

One big issue is the "seat to foot peg" distance is pretty tight on the zx7. I plan on adjustable rear-sets to move the pegs back AND down...which just forces me to get farther off the bike due to the reduced clearance.

    Chad

Im 6'6" 240lbs. I thought i would be the biggest guy racing. adjustable rear-sets are a must on any sport bike.

I purchased a ‘95 Ducati 916 with the 955 motor. Still undecided on selling it or racing it. Needed some work from sitting for an extended period, hoping to have it running soon
