Are the forks the Showas like the type on the 1125? If yes, don't you think they are a little to heavy for a 250?

I have a set of forks off of my 1125R with mag wheel, lighter rotor and upper triple clamp, and GPR damper. I was going to have them setup for a WR450 super single. But a few have told me that this front end would be too heavy and that I should go with an R6 front end like Geoff Maloney at GP Tech uses.

Thanks for posting about your project. Sounds interesting.

Stock forks with Racetech springs and internal work by EBR Performace out of Houston. Tried to post a pic of bike but did not upload

Spend the money for the 415 conversion. You won't be sorry.

    Hey RedFox,
Would you mind sharing some of your expertise with the 415 gearing for the tracks in the southeast?

By the way do happen to fly for Delta?

    Thanks
    Doug

I don't have any numbers for 415 gearing. It wasn't available for the ninja when we raced one. Yes, I work for Delta.

I like the 415, but you need to make sure to replace it when it starts to go bad. It will loosen up so quick during arace and fall off if you try to go too long w/o replacing. Buy it by the roll.

Well next time you have some time between flights, come down to the maintenance office at A13 and ask for Doug at the ATL sector desk. I'm usually there noon til 10. It be good to meet you.

Doug, I'll try, but most of my flights depart from F. Look forward to seeing you at the track?
