As we all know, last year yamaha posted killer contingency which has been matched this year by Kawasaki. However, I have heard through the rumor mill that the yamaha contingency will be drastically scaled back for 2000. Does anyone out there have any information? (rumor or fact) Sean say it ain't so!
Nothing yet. Last rumor I heard was that it wouldn't change but who knows... Suzuki is dropping the GSXR1100 and doing the TL and SV according to reliable rumors. Kawasaki's payout is on our site and I just added their dates to the schedule. All of the contingencies and dates will be updated as we receive them.
Yamaha now pays only top three. Nationals and edurance $1500.00, 750.00, 500.00 Regionals $1000.00, 500.00, 350.00. same classes as last year.
I have heard from several sources that they are paying only top three. They are not STUPID they flooded the market in 98 and 99 with R1s and R6s and then they drop the nice pay out. It is easy to foresee what the grids will look like for 2000. It was nice for all of us to dream about getting some kind of cash…
