    1996ish Ducati 900ss track bike
    Near Ann Arbor, MI
    $3200

It's that time of year I've started putting bikes back into storage. I was going to move this one but got the crazy idea I'd post an ad first on the outside chance someone near Ann Arbor MI is looking for a winter project. I'll probably put it away in the next week or two, it will still be available but with less incentive to sell. Once the ground gets wet or snowy it's game over.

    The good:
    Ohlins shock
Superbike forks with aftermarket top triple clamp
    944 kit
    FCR 39mm carbs
    New Michelin Power GP tires
New Mosfet series style regulator (Shindigen or however it's spelled)
    EarthX battery
    Valves adjusted
    Belts changed this year

    The bad:
    NO TITLE
Frame has had cracks repaired (before I bought it)
Some moron (aka me) dropped the gas tank while installing it so it's no longer in great shape
Front fairing mount is slightly tweaked
Misc damage from various crashes thoughout it's life. It's been a track bike for a lot of years from what I can tell
    Bodywork is beat. See above.
FCRs need to be set up, it's a pain to start it if it's been sitting for a while.
Suspension hasn't been serviced in who knows how long
An oil leak I thought I fixed isn't fixed. That was the straw that broke me to be honest... It's not horrible but it's a leak.

    Misc details:
Tires installed last spring, virtually unused
    Airbox removed, pod filters added
Rear hugger is 3D printed and fits a 180mm tire
Wheels were painted with 2K paint before tire changes
    Steel swingarm with spindles added
"custom" rear stand included. (Home made, came with bike, modded to use with spindles)
No key to start, flip the switch and it's ready to go.

    The story:
3 years ago I bought this because I have a soft spot for neglected Ducatis. I thought I'd give it some TLC and use it 2-3 times per year. I still haven't ridden it. I took it out for a test ride earlier this year, the bike ran for about 1/4 mile then died. Turned out to be the wires to the fuel pump. I addressed that but haven't even started it since.

I'm not interested in trades... except for maybe a neglected/non-running 748. Maybe.

    Thanks for looking!

White IS the best frame color...

Someone should buy this thing and take it directly to JD Hord and let him fettle it over the winter. He used to be the MAN with these carb setups.

I have a set of Cycle Cat race rear sets for that bike. plus a ton of other parts for the 92-97 900ss series, plus a frame with title if anyone is interested.

Super cool bike, wish I had the room

Well that didn't last as long as I thought it would.

I need to get my Jeep in the garage sooner than expected so the bike had to go into storage, and doing that today made me decide I'm not screwing around with it again until spring.

Withdrawn from sale. Maybe it'll get listed again in April, we'll see.

Rescued from temptation! People need to quit posting reasonably priced Ducatis.
