14 ZX10R and ESD warning lamp with race fairings on

I bought a 14 ZX10R-ABS to track this year. I didn't really ride before I started prepping it for the track. My Electronic steering damper warning light is coming on above 15 mph. I have tried researching this problem and I hear headlamps can sometimes cause this (not sure I believe this) but anyone out there running a 11-15 ZX10R without headlamp and not have or do have an ESD warning lamp? Battery is good and connections are tight.Thanks!
