Vitals recorded, IV is in, Waiting for the doc to see me again, then time to drift off, for a pleasant nap, and dream away my tonsils, as they'll be gone in zap. I'll let you know when I wake up.
Damn, hope you have a speedy recovery. Let me know how it turns out. I have had strep for 3 consecutive times and the doc said if its not gone this time my tonsils will be next.
Am I the only one that thinks it is weird that he's posting on the WERA bbs with the frickin' IV in his arm ready for surgery???? man...you got a sickness.
So far the pain isn't horrible. Slept most of today. Swallowing is a chore, but the cold stuff helps. Thanks for the well-wishes. Tex: I love my Treo.

Today sux. Can't stop coughing. Ears and throat both ache constantly. Jordan, I ask for them, to make a Christmas ornament, but they said no.

OK...but I've been a frequent Tuesday Walmart video section shopper this year. At this point I'm better than Blockbuster.
Most of this morning was spent sleeping... again. This afternoon, I tried to do some work, but got instantly woozy. Probably due to lack of interest. Got tired of watching AMA SuperMoto, so switched to playing online blackjack. The tongue vice grips that they used really have caused the most problems. My tongue is so damn swollen on the sides that I can barely stick it out, chew, or swallow. I better not snore after all this shiznit!
Short answer: Yes. Long answer: The common cure for Sleep Apnea, of which snoring is a symptom, is to remove the tonsils and clip the Uvula. I did not have Apnea, but snoring was a MAJOR issue with the Bed Buddy.
Non-Void TMI During surgery prep, one of the questions the nurse asks is the date and time of your last "Void". Some of you may know this as "Evacuation", "Duty", or to the heathen's... taking a crap! Well, my last one, that I can remember, was the morning of the surgery... I don't want to know what brewing inside me, but it's been there for almost 6 days! THAR SHE BLOWS!!!
So far he has only snored minimally since the surgery and that could be from his tongue being so swollen. I would have to say that it was successful, but I sure don't want to jinx it, I need the sleep!!!!
