It’s not surprising if you think about it: Kawasaki wants its HALO brand to win races and show presents on the racetracks which is what Bimota is known for. It is also a great opportunity for the current iteration of Bimota to get some cred. Kawasaki might be planning a return, but their road bike in the last 10 years didn’t sell like the Italians. With superbikes being so expensive these days you need to make something people can drool over if you are going to ask them for 40 plus k and no one does it better than Bimota. I just hope they can sell the minimum bikes. Last time that’s what disqualified them.
