I'm sure you meant to write fewer guns, not less guns. If you can count what you're referring to it's fewer. Sorry, that's one of my pet peeves. There's less traffic because there are fewer cars on the road. There would be less crime if there were fewer guns in the wrong hands.
Anytime I see or hear the word “Taint” I have to laugh because in the mid/late 90s on a dial up modem, I’m working in the shop and a couple of Canadian racer buddies were down and using my computer when I hear one say “oh yeah.. tbag tbag taint rub… that’s the way” I asked wtf they were doing to see them staring at the 15” monitor as it buffered at probably 3 frames per minute… damn Canadians man… he’s still known as “Taint rub” I can’t even remember his real name
I go with, "If something can cause change, it can affect things. Effect is the change." But I'm just a dumb dog poop scooper guy.
I never use "effect" as a verb nor "affect" as a noun. That takes out the guesswork. There are enough synonyms to get by.
