Ben stated that one of the two riders (both already signed) could win now on a superbike. PJ would step down to SSP next year, then go back to SBK in '25 when RDM will likely enter that class. Pay might be better to?
--> The Joshin Herrin model. Maybe it could work for PJ. Get his confidence back, get some wins, and then on to SBK with the same team. Good idea. I like PJ but there is risk here.
PJ might like to win a championship. He's been runner up in a few different classes / series over the years. Go listen to Dustin's podcast with him that's just out.
They would probably pay him to go away. While you're here, have you heard about Seb Ogier's live TV comment this morning at the end of the 3rd special stage of the central European rally? Ouch. That made me wonder: in championships with a spec tire, is there contractual language against shaming the supplier?
Ben Spies spoke as it if was decided already. He also said a pathway for one rider to go from SS to SBK was very much the goal.
Uhhhh, because he gets paid. Do you think Herrin went back to SSP because it would help his riding, or it was a a paid ride? Ken
