Wow, thank you, for the update. We were talking about Duke just the other day. Thank you again, for giving him a great home. Peter & Edna.
How about a break from viruses and politics? Duke is watching me eat dinner We are fast approaching his 11th birthday. He is starting to show some age in his hips, but healthy, and suppose happy otherwise
It is somehow very comforting to have an old dog in the house. I guess it's like that comfy old sweatshirt, multiplied by a thousand. I'm sure I don't need to tell you this, but treasure the time you still have with him. I was a little wary of opening another dog thread from years back. I'm glad this one is happy.
One final update on Duke @Red Fox Racing. He moved on last Monday after being a great friend for 13 years. It was very unexpected. We were walking and his back leg broke. 3 different vets couldn't do anything with him. We eneded taking him to the teaching Vet hospital at Auburn University and spoe with the Oncology Vet. Amputation was a minimum, cancer had eroded the bone to the point it could not be out back together. We had no idea. He was such a great Buddy. no wimpers no signs of pain other than all of our own creaks with age. after weighing all of our options and his future health forcast. I made a difficult decision not to put him through the amputation and chemo. He is dearly missed.
