Kawasaki ZX4RR Did you or will you buy one?

Going to get tag today. Run Barber tags on errythang, so I only get five characters. The simple choice would be ZX4RR. Since it's an inline four, I thought EYE 4, I FOE, or perhaps 400 4 or 4HNRD.

 

EYE4 gets my vote!

We just got one in. Working on prototyping a few racey parts for the chassis.

I saw that Chris Moore (Moore Mafia) did a flash on one. The only modification was a Graves slip on. The baseline pull showed 51 horsepower. The big takeaway is the restrictions. The bike only delivers 100% throttlebody opening to 11,400, dropping back to roughly 45% from there to redline. Flashing those restrictions out, he got it to 71 horsepower. I can't help but feel that a flash alone will get it to 61.
It's a fun bike to ride, but the restrictions neuter it far too much for such a small displacement. I really want to do a trackday on it, but am of the opinion that it would be an exercise in frustration with that level of restrictions in place, which is a shame for a bike that seems to be primarily designed for trackday use.

It's only restricted like that due to epa crap...simple flash and you get what you paid for...a great screaming little ripper.

 

I see that mine wasn't the only one delivered with a low oil level.

 

Isn't the EU kinda taking the lead on that nowadays?
