Sounds like a great experience Rick. I'm going to the TT this year but not riding anything...

I personally would like to get one, assuming that it would be legal in the same classes as my SV. But I plan to wait a year or two, mainly to see if the bike sticks around and gets good parts and performance support. Plus I could build a racebike starting with a used machine. Us LW guys are always looking to save some $$.

Weight is optimistic given Graves was saying 340lbs for that bike.

He replied in the comments that "it should be able to keep up with the 600s" so I'd take any of his claims with a grain of salt, and then some tequila because he's obviously drunk...

How do you have a nice looking trailer, a brand new purpose built race bike, but not a TRS or front wheel chock?

How is it possible to remove 100 lbs from the stock weight? Remove the engine?

Maybe he's talking about actual fast riders on 400s keeping up with slow-ass Novice Track Day Superstars like me on a 600.

I'll still get passed by kids on 400s.

But I'm still having fun, so it's okay.

Well... I'm in. They got back in touch, we took a few days of back and forth, the number got close enough, I rode it home today. It's quite a fun little ride. I'm looking forward to getting through that first 600 mile to turn it loose.

    ^* this!

If it can’t handle the abuse when it’s brand new, how will it handle it 600 miles from now? :D

If it's gonna break, you want it to happen now, not later.

It's just as much of a break in for me as it is for the motorcycle. Been about four years since I rode a sportbike, much less something as "special" as an RR.

Once a Wanker.. Always a Wanker!

I'll have the same issue, myself, when I pick mine up. Bought 4 new bikes for the household in the past 2 years, but this will be my first super-sport bike, besides her ZX400 Ninja, since 1988.

Seems like these bikes have been successful so far. I'm seeing more ZX4RR purchases on the FB track and race boards then any other bike since the RS660.
