That is all…. Endless buffering making it unwatchable, when you watch it on demand, doesn’t let you pause or rewind. Why do I pay for this again? The races and production value are good, but placed on a 10 cent fucking app borrowed from a Commodore VIC 20.
I am not just talking about today’s problems. It’s just a clunky crappy to use app. And it’s a shame, because everything else about the race coverage is top not h. Commentary is good, replays good, camera work is good, sound levels good, it’s just the actual app is awful. Even on a regular day watching the races at night when I get home, there is no way to fast forward, pause or rewind. I could understand that maybe in 2003, but not in 2023.
I can't stand the fact that no matter what I do the autoplay function won't turn off and it spoils races. I used to wait until all live coverage was over but apparently now they like to play a loop that includes podium ceremonies. The price is a little steep for this shitty of an app.
Well, shit. I hate the fact that I have to agree with this; I don't talk shit about MA and try to be as positive about the national roadracing scene as possible. But, yea, it sucks. Today, the video kept pausing, the audio would go ~10 seconds backwards, and then the video would resume once the audio caught up. If I close the app and come back, it always starts off where I left off. Example: I log off after watching Stock 1000 while riders are on the cool down lap. I open app back up to watch Superbike. It never joins live; it brings it back to the Stock 1000 cool down lap and goes from there. Have to force quit the app and restart in order to join live. 100% chance I still buy it next year while continuing to harbor resentment about how annoying it is.
It's always nice to see the race highlights up on YouTube before the VOD is available on the app that people are paying actual money for.
