Yeah. I had a ferry ticket 4 years ago but my bike broke down near La Spezia, so I missed the ferry.

 

I fell in love on the overnight ferry on my way to summer vacation when I was 18. But I'm certain that my vacation would have been just as fantastic if I had never met her. It truly is a beautiful island.

Sardinia was awesome, as usual, but def prefer Corsica between the two. Now in Sicilia doing a 1 week tour of one of my old favorites.

Matches your coffee cup

 

Unlike the coffeecup I cleaned the dime. Just a soak in some leftover picante sauce, rinse and wipe dry. Turns out it is a 1949-S in reasonably good shape under the grime. I'd snap another pic but it's already in a baggie with some other dimes in an ammo box in the back of the closet... not gonna hoist it out for snapshots.

Back from Japan late Friday (or maybe early Saturday). Great trip, survived all the roads and traffic, but only barely the miserable trip home. Still getting over that. Airlines ain't what they used to be, that's for sure.
